Within the scope of the Neighbourhood Action Programme, TECHINFORMI conducted a workshop on the theme “Information Strategy for Adequate Participation of Georgian Scientists in the European Community Framework Research and Innovation Programmes”
Questions discussed:

  1. Opportunities for involving Georgian scientists into the Seventh Framework Programme (FP7)
  2. Terms of placement of project proposals of Georgian scientists in databases of the European Community R&D Information Service (CORDIS)
  3. Procedure for determining the impact factor of scientific journals
  4. Thematic search of journals with high impact factor in various databases

Among the Seminar participants were researchers from the Institute of Mining Engineering, Tbilisi State University, Georgian Technical University, Seismic Monitoring Centre, Institute of Geophysics, Institute of Metallurgy and Material Studies, Institute of Control Systems, Institute of Mechanical Engineering, and Institute of Physics.

The Seminar was chaired by the head of the Information Technologies Development Department of TECHINFORMI Levon Chobanyan and engineer of the same department Giorgi Gvianishvili.
