02.02.18. On December 1, 2017 a scientific seminar “Georgian Terms Bank (Electronic Resources for the Terminology Corps)” was organized and held by TECHINFORMI. Reporter: Ms. Lia Karosanidze, PhD, Head of Scientific Terminology and Translation Department of the TSU-based A. Chikobava Institute of Linguistics. The report dealt with the goals of generating the Georgian Terms Bank, the ways of development of specialized terminology, etc. Leading specialists of research institutions and universities from Tbilisi and other Georgian towns (Telavi, Akhaltsikhe) took part in the seminar.

02.02.18. On November 14-16, 2017, a scientific conference “Scientific Terminology V” was held at Arn. Chikobava Institute of Linguistics under Javakhishvili Tbilisi State University (TSU).  Among the conference participants were scientists and professors of TSU, Georgian Technical University, Ilia State University and the research institutes under their jurisdiction, including TECHINFORMI, also employees of the Ministry of Defence of Georgia, the National Parliamentary Library, journalists and other specialists engaged in the Georgian terminology sphere. TECHINFORMI Director Ms. Nelly Makvhiladze made a report “The State of Scientific and Technical Terms Standardization in Georgia”.  Scientific conference abstracts were published.

The electronic version of the annual Georgian Abstracts Journal (GAJ) #8(20), 2012 in the English and Georgian languages can be found at TECHINFORMI’s website http://www.tech.caucasus.net/Eng/QRJ.html,. The journal is subject-based and is dedicated to medicine. It is searchable according to the list of publications, classification headings, author’s and subject indexes reflected in the journal.
In case of interest abstracts of publications by Georgian and foreign scientists can be looked up from the following volumes: Nos. 1(13), 2(14), 3(15), 4(16), 5(17), 6(18), 7(19), 8(20).
 

The regular fifth edition (5(17), 2010; E ISSN 1987-5800) of the Georgian Abstracts Journal (GAJ) has been published.
The journal includes abstracts of Georgian scientists’ publications in the Georgian and English languages.
The journal’s subjects encompass four main directions: Social Sciences; Natural and Exact Sciences; Technical and Applied Sciences (Sectors of Economy); and Intersectoral Problems. The journal has subject entries, author’s and subject indexes.
